Sounds of nature – a dawn chorus of birds, creaking trees, a singing nightingale, a sudden rainstorm – immerse listeners in the world of the Lullula forest. Our multi-channel sound installation brings audiences deeper into the musical storytelling.
The artists invite audiences to sing or move communally within each performance, offering a joyful space of participation and belonging in classical music.

Meet the
Artists

Australian soprano Simone Easthope studied at the Sydney Conservatory and the Juilliard School in New York. She was a winner of the Opera Foundation of Australia's national voice competition which supported her subsequent study at the Juilliard School.
Simone has a special affinity for the song repertoire: Together with pianist Benjamin Moser, Simone has presented recitals in Australia, Germany and Italy. In 2019 and 2021 she was invited to present song programs with the Bridging Arts festival in Nürnberg, which were recorded and broadcast by Bavarian Radio.
Further performances include song programs with pianist Severin von Eckardstein at the Ghent Festival in Belgium, the New York Festival of Song, and the Schubert & Co project. Additionally, Simone was a prizewinner of the International Robert Schumann Competition in Zwickau.
Simone can be heard most recently in various Mozart roles with the Kammerakademie Potsdam under Antonello Manacorda on Golda Schultz's 2024 release with Alpha Classics, Mozart, You Drive Me Crazy. Her operatic repertoire includes Despina in Mozart's Così fan Tutte, Miss Wordsworth in Britten's Albert Herring, Therese/Tirésias in Poulenc's Les Mamelles de Tirésias and Angelique in Ibert's Angelique.
She sang the soprano role in Mendelssohn Bartholdy's Elias under the direction of Helmuth Rilling; further oratorio roles include Orff's Carmina Burana, Haydn's Nelson Mass, Mozart's Requiem, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, and Händel's Messiah.
Simone is also a passionate voice teacher with a particular focus on the traditions and methodology of voice pedagogy. She holds a position in the Artistic-Pedagogical Training department at the Universität der Künste in Berlin.

Acclaimed for his exemplary and spirited playing, chamber musician and accompanist Jonathan Ware is a regular guest at the world’s leading recital venues, and recent appearances include Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, the John F. Kennedy Center, Elbphilharmonie, Philharmonie Luxembourg, L’Auditori, the Concertgebouw, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and the Pierre Boulez Saal.
Appearing alongside some of today’s most exciting singers and instrumentalists, last season saw Jonathan Ware with Samuel Mariño at the Sala Sinfonica Pablo Casals in Puerto Rico, with Simon Bode at Carnegie Hall and Wigmore Hall, with clarinetist Jonathan Leibowitz on a UK tour to Bath, Falkirk and the Isle of Wight, with Timothy Ridout at the Vancouver Recital Society, with Bilal Alnemr at the Raketenstation, Hombroich, a new collaboration with violinist Leia Zhu in Reims.
Of special interest is his project Kinderlieder: a concert series curated for young children with Lydia Mankopf from Lullula Music and Simone Easthope, which debuted at the Pierre Boulez Saal.
Previous seasons’ highlights include recitals with Elsa Dreisig at Bayerischer Rundfunk, Kölner Philharmonie and Wigmore Hall, with Bejun Mehta at Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Philharmonie Luxembourg and Mozartfest Augsburg; with Camilla Tilling at Spivey Hall in a Jenny Lind-inspired selection; and Brenda Rae at Wigmore Hall in a programme of Schubert and Strauss.
Following recent appearances at Verbier Festival and Lied Festival Würzburg with Ema Nikolovska, the pair reunited at Wigmore Hall this season, where he also collaborated with tenors Simon Bode and Kieran Carrel.
